Did you know that a giraffe’s heart weighs 25 pounds?
What a heavy heart to be carrying around
She said with an empty expression
Unaware of my heart’s decreasing progression
Into the realm of increasing density
From the positively changing pain intensity.
What a heavy heart to be carrying around,
The king of pain is real and my heart has been crowned
By Sting himself seeing the imprint her face has stung
On the inside of my ribcage where my heart has been hung.
It hangs there motionless broke in two,
Dear giraffe I hope your heart doesn’t hang like that too.
Who would hurt you giraffe and your already heavy heart?
Hopefully not a woman who had too broken me apart.
It’s a hard price to pay but getting torn limb from limb
May be better than a woman killing you from within.
Oh giraffe with heavy hearts, we both share
The same pain that others are perpetually unaware.
